Making buttercream. I tried mixing butter and sugar.

Today, I tried my hand at making buttercream. This time, I kept it simple, using only butter and sugar. If it turns out well, I’d like to use it as a filling for pound cake.

The finished product had a strong salty butter flavor, but it was delicious. Unsalted butter might have been a better choice. Also, since it was just butter and sugar, it felt a bit heavy. Adding egg whites to lighten it might be a good idea.

・I put 30g of butter and 15g of sugar in a bowl and mixed them, mashing the butter.

・It was hard to mash at first, but I used a spatula and a hand mixer to mix it well until it became pale.
