Savory cake with broccoli, wiener, and carrot. The saltiness of the wiener is a nice touch.

Dishes

Today, I made a savory cake with broccoli, sausages, and carrots.

When it was done, the dough was lightly salted, but the strong saltiness of the sausages balanced it out perfectly. The cheese was also baked to a fragrant crisp, making it delicious.

Broccoli, Sausage, and Carrot Savory Cake Recipe (Instructions)

(1) Cut the vegetables and sausages. Chop the broccoli and sausages into chunks. Dice the carrots.

(2) Boil the ingredients from (1) for about 5 minutes. They are done when the vegetables change color or become slightly tender.

(3) Separate the two eggs into whites and yolks.

(4) Make meringue from the egg whites. To make it firm, whisk with a hand mixer for about 1 minute, then add 10g of sugar and whisk for another minute. The meringue is now complete.

(5) Mix 2 egg yolks, 20g olive oil, 100g soy milk, 5g soy sauce, 4g salt, and a dash of black pepper. Once roughly combined, add 100g flour and mix with a hand mixer.

(6) Then, gently fold in the meringue.

(7) Next, add the boiled vegetables and sausages and mix with a spatula to complete the batter.

(8) Line the bottom of the cake pan with parchment paper to prevent sticking. Pour the batter into the cake pan, then sprinkle 60g of cheese evenly over the top. (This time, I used two pound cake pans, so I sprinkled 30g on each.)

(9) Tap the bottom of the pan about a dozen times (to release air bubbles), then place it in a preheated oven (180℃). Bake at 180℃ for 30 minutes until done.

(10) After cooling slightly, remove the pound cake from the pan and cut it.

When it was done, the dough was lightly salted, but the strong saltiness of the sausages balanced it out perfectly. The cheese was also baked to a fragrant crisp, making it delicious.
