No oven required! Melt-in-your-mouth crumble pie with whole bananas and rich chocolate
Perfect for chilly weather or for those days when typhoons lengthen the time you spend at home. It is a luxurious sweet that can be easily made for the whole family without using the oven. The harmony of melt-in-your-mouth ripe bananas, rich chocolate cream, and crunchy chocolate crumble is like the taste of a special cafe. The fun of making it together and the heart-warming experience of taking a bite will bring you a moment of happiness.
Ingredients (for 1 round mold of 18 cm in diameter)
| Material name | amount |
|---|---|
| [Crust (foundation) | |
| cocoa cookie | 150g |
| Unsalted butter, melted | 60g |
| pure cocoa powder | 1 tablespoon |
| [Rich chocolate cream | |
| Chocolate, milk or bitter | 100g |
| fresh cream | 100ml |
| (cow’s) milk | 50ml |
| sugar | 1 tablespoon (adjust according to the sweetness of the chocolate) |
| [Banana] | |
| Ripe bananas | 3 pcs (large) |
| Lemon juice (optional, to prevent discoloration) | small quantity |
| Chocolate crumble (topping) | |
| oatmeal | 50g |
| weak flour | 30g |
| sugar | 20g |
| pure cocoa powder | 1/2 tablespoon |
| Unsalted butter, melted | 30g |
| chocolate chip | 30g |
way of making
- crust making (preparation of the base)
Place the cocoa cookies in a heavy-duty plastic bag and beat with a rolling pin to break them into small pieces. A food processor can be used to make it smooth and silky in an instant! Add the melted unsalted butter and pure cocoa powder and mix well until the whole mixture is moistened. Spread the mixture into the bottom of a mold (such as a round or square mold with a diameter of 18 cm) and flatten it by pressing down firmly with the bottom of a cup. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm and stabilize the base. - making chocolate crumble (the magic of crunchiness)
In a bowl, combine the oatmeal, flour, sugar, and pure cocoa powder and mix briefly with a whisk. Add the melted unsalted butter and mix until the mixture resembles a crumble, using your fingertips to rub the flour and butter together. Finally, after mixing in the chocolate chips, place a cookie sheet in a frying pan and fry over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent burning, until fragrant and aromatic. Turn off the heat and let cool completely. This savory aroma is the secret to a much more delicious pie! - making thick chocolate cream (melting temptation)
Chop the chocolate board into small pieces. Place the cream, milk, and sugar in a saucepan over low heat. When the mixture is warm, turn off the heat and add the chopped chocolate all at once, slowly melting it in the residual heat and mixing it until smooth. When the cream becomes shiny and thick, remove from heat and refrigerate briefly to make it easier to spread nicely over the bananas. - preparation of bananas (appearance of the main character)
Peel a ripe banana and cut it in half lengthwise. By using the whole banana, you can enjoy its full presence. If you like, you can brush them with a little lemon juice to prevent discoloration. - assembly (emotional climax!)
After the crust has cooled and hardened in the refrigerator, arrange the bananas cut in half lengthwise with the cross sections facing up, neatly arranging them without any gaps. Pour the lightly chilled thick chocolate cream over the top and smooth the surface with a rubber spatula. Finally, sprinkle the entire surface with the cooled chocolate crumble. The beautiful appearance of the cake, which looks as if snow has fallen on the ground, is sure to bring a smile to the face of the customer. - cool and complete!
Place in the refrigerator again and chill until firm, at least 2 hours. When cutting, use a warm knife for a clean cut. Now, the cool, melt-in-your-mouth, blissful “homey” crumble pie is ready!
Here is the secret to the delicious taste! Recipe Tips
- The crust should be pressed firmly into place! It is less likely to fall apart and easier to cut into pieces.
- Fry the crumbles savory!Slow frying the oatmeal and biscuits in a pan so that they do not burn makes them more fragrant and crispy. This is the secret to the delicious taste.
- Bananas should be fully ripe!Ripe bananas have a strong sweetness and aroma, and are a perfect match for the chocolate cream. You can enjoy its melt-in-your-mouth texture.
- Chill the cream lightly in the refrigerator! It will be easier to pour in, but be careful not to let it cool too much or it will harden.
- Arrangements are infinite!Seasonal fruits (sautéed apples, strawberries, etc.) can be added instead of bananas. A small amount of cinnamon or nutmeg can be added for a more autumnal flavor.
