Green Tea Steamed Buns. Made with 35g milk and 20g oil, they’re fluffy and not sticky.

Steamed bread

This time, I tried making green tea steamed bread.

The finished product, with 35g of milk and 20g of oil, had a fluffy texture with no stickiness. This ratio seems to be ideal. It also had a refreshing taste with the aroma of green tea.

Green Tea Steamed Bread Recipe (Instructions)

(1) Whisk the whole egg, 35g milk, 20g oil, 5g green tea leaves (ground in a mortar), and 60g sugar with a hand mixer for about 1 minute.

(2) Add 50g flour and 2g baking powder to (1) and gently mix with a spatula.

(3) Pour (2) into a mold lined with paper lunch cups and steam for about 15-20 minutes in a boiling pot (I wrapped the lid of the pot with a towel to make it like a steamer).

(4) The finished product had a fluffy texture with no stickiness. This ratio seems to be ideal. It also had a refreshing taste with the aroma of green tea.
