For your night owl! Melt-in-your-mouth rich chocolate pie – bittersweet cacao and salted caramel temptation
These mini-sized chocolate pies are designed to make your special evening, such as FNS Song Festival or movie viewing, even more luxurious. The crispy pie crust, melt-in-your-mouth rich ganache, and secret salted caramel create a blissful harmony that stimulates all five senses. Using easy-to-make frozen pie sheets, even beginners can enjoy the authentic taste without fail.
Ingredients (for 12 mini pies)
| Frozen Pie Sheet | two sheets (pieces) (of paper) |
| Chocolate sheet (bitter recommended) | 100g |
| fresh cream | 50ml |
| unsalted butter | 10g |
| Caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade) | 1 tablespoon |
| salt (i.e. sodium chloride) | Pinch (to add to caramel sauce) |
| Beaten egg (for glazing) | small quantity |
| Flour (light flour) | small quantity |
way of making
- The adventure begins with the prep work!Remove the frozen pie sheet from the freezer about 10 minutes before use and allow it to thaw halfway. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
- [Making chocolate ganache magic! In a heatproof bowl, break the chocolate board into small pieces and add the cream and unsalted butter. Heat in a microwave oven at 600W for 1 minute (or in a hot water bath), and when the chocolate is melted, mix with a whisk until smooth. Now add the caramel sauce and a pinch of salt. The salt is the secret to enhancing the sweetness and creating a deep flavor!
- [Transform pie sheets with elegance!Spread the half-frozen pie sheet on a lightly floured table and roll it out lightly with a rolling pin. Roll out the sheet lightly with a rolling pin to form a square approximately 20 cm x 20 cm. Then cut each sheet into 6 equal pieces. (That makes a total of 12 pies!).
- [Wrapped in emotion!Spoon a bite-size piece of the ganache mixture onto the center of each of the six cut-out pie sheets. Brush a thin layer of beaten egg around the center and gently cover the other half of the pie sheet (6 sheets). Press down firmly with the tip of a fork around the edges of the pie to seal in the ganache so that it doesn’t stick out. Press the edges of the pie sheet so that they form a pretty pattern around the edge of the pie for a more festive appearance.
- [A golden moment!Brush the surface of the pie with a thin layer of beaten egg. This gives the pie a beautiful golden brown color and an appetizing sheen when baked. Line a baking sheet with a cookie sheet and place the pie on the sheet.
- Now, to the oven!Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15 to 20 minutes. When the pie is golden brown and the surface is nicely browned, it is ready! When the pie is removed from the oven, a sweet and savory aroma spreads throughout the room, a moment of sheer bliss.
- Take off the heat and enjoy! The baked chocolate pie is placed on a net to remove it from the heat. It tastes great hot, but when it cools down a bit, the ganache settles down and you can enjoy a richer flavor. Now, enjoy it with a hot beverage for a nightcap!
This is the secret to the delicious taste! The key to “Yofukashi Reward Mini Chocolate Pie
The most important point of this recipe is that by using frozen pie sheets, you can achieve an authentic taste without any hassle. In particular, the “salted caramel” added to the ganache enhances the overall flavor and creates a deep taste that you will never get tired of. When closing the pie sheet, press down the edges firmly with a fork to prevent the ganache from leaking out during baking. Also, brushing with beaten egg before baking in the oven will result in a beautiful, glossy chocolate pie.
