Today, I tried making rusks using bread crusts.
The result was a crispy, fragrant texture, the sweetness of butter and sugar, and even the slightly burnt parts added a pleasantly bitter accent. It was impossible to fail! I think it’s a foolproof and easy snack.

Rusk made from bread crusts (Instructions)
・First, I cut off only the crusts from the bread and sliced them into 2-3 cm pieces. The weight was about 90g.

・Next, I spread the cut bread crusts on a plate, trying not to overlap them, and heated them in a 500-watt microwave for 2 minutes.

・After that, I sprinkled 20g of butter, cut into approximately 5mm cubes, and mixed until the butter melted from the heat.

・Then, I heated it again in the 500W microwave for another 2 minutes.

・Finally, I sprinkled sugar and mixed it all together. Done!

・The result was a crispy, fragrant texture, the sweetness of butter and sugar, and even the slightly burnt parts added a pleasantly bitter accent. It was impossible to fail! I think it’s a foolproof and easy snack.
