Bread crust rusks made in the microwave. A crispy finish.

Rusk

Today, I tried making bread crust rusks using a microwave.

The finished product was more fragrant than if I had stir-fried it in a frying pan. I think using a microwave is the best way to make rusks.

Bread Crust Rusks Made in the Microwave (Instructions)

・First, I cut the bread crusts into pieces about 2 cm long.

・Next, I spread them on a plate and heated them in the microwave at 500W for 2 minutes without covering them with plastic wrap.

・ I took them out and added butter cut into 5mm cubes, then mixed. It’s okay if the butter doesn’t melt completely, as long as it coats everything.

・Again, I heated them in the microwave at 500W for 2 minutes without covering them with plastic wrap.

・After that, I took them out, added sugar, and mixed well.

・Serve on a plate and it’s done. It’s crispy with a light texture. The sweetness was subtle, and it had a refreshing taste. I think using a microwave is the best way to make rusks.
